ActivTours® Cookie Policy

Version: 1.0 · Last updated: August 2026

The ActivTours® website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and to measure traffic.

By “cookies and similar technologies” we mean HTTP cookies, local storage and other mechanisms through which information can be stored on or accessed from your device.

This is a translation of the Romanian version, which prevails in case of any difference in interpretation.

1. Categories used

Necessary / functional — these allow the website and the enquiry form to work. They include the anti-bot mechanism and network protection provided by Cloudflare, and remembering your answer to the consent banner.

Attribution — when you arrive from a campaign, we keep the campaign parameters (UTM) and the gclid, gbraid or wbraid identifiers in your browser, so that they accompany your enquiry if you choose to send one. This information is kept locally, in the browser.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4, to understand how the website is used in aggregate. It is not loaded until you accept it; if you refuse, it is not loaded at all.

2. What we actually store

The following are used on this website:

  • activtours_consent_v1 — local storage, records your answer to the consent banner: "granted" means you accepted traffic measurement, "denied" that you refused it. While this value is absent, Google Analytics is not loaded;
  • activtours_click_ids_v1 — local storage, holds the campaign parameters described above;
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) — created only after you accept; if you refuse or do not answer, they never appear;
  • Cloudflare cookies (for example __cf_bm) — network security and distinguishing human from automated traffic.

3. What this Policy covers

This Policy describes the technologies currently active on this website. At the time of publication, the current version does not load social network advertising pixels and does not send conversions to advertising platforms.

Further technologies — among them tag management tools or conversational assistance services — may be added later. When that happens, this Policy is updated before they are activated, together with the corresponding processing details.

4. Managing your preferences

You can manage your preferences from your browser settings: you can block or delete cookies, generally or for this website specifically.

Blocking necessary cookies may affect how the website works, including your ability to send an enquiry.

You can also clear locally stored information from your browser settings, by clearing browsing data for this website.

5. Opting out of traffic measurement

You can opt out of measurement through Google Analytics using the opt-out extension provided by Google, or by blocking this website's cookies in your browser.

6. Duration

Duration differs by technology: some information is kept only for the browsing session, other information for a longer period, until you delete it or until it expires as set by the provider.

Information kept in local storage stays in your browser until you clear it.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy when the technologies used or legal requirements change.

The applicable version is the one published on this page, together with the date of the last update.

8. Contact

For questions about this Policy you can write to info@activtours.travel.

How we process personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
