The United States can begin in New York, between Manhattan, Central Park, Broadway and the views from the Empire State Building, but the East Coast reaches much further: Washington, D.C. and its great museums, Boston and the history of New England, Philadelphia, then the spectacular Niagara Falls. Further south, Florida changes the mood completely — Miami and Miami Beach, the Florida Keys, the Everglades and Orlando, with Walt Disney World and Universal, turn the same journey into a mix of beaches, nature and entertainment.

Out West, another America begins. Los Angeles means Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and the Pacific, while San Francisco, the Golden Gate and the California coast open the way to one of America’s great road trips. Las Vegas can be a gateway to the Grand Canyon, while further afield lie the monumental landscapes of Yosemite, Yellowstone, Monument Valley, Zion, Bryce Canyon and Death Valley. Add Route 66, the Pacific Coast Highway or Utah’s national parks and the road becomes an experience in itself. Beyond the mainland, Hawaii brings volcanoes and Pacific beaches, while Alaska means glaciers, fjords and some of the world’s great remaining wilderness.
You come for great cities, road trips and national parks, beaches and islands, entertainment and theme parks, sport, music, food, shopping, culture or extraordinary nature.
